Baby Elephants Play Soccer (Futbol)

To celebrate the World Cup, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust got some orphaned baby elephants together from the Nairobi Nursery to play futbol / soccer.  The best part about these baby elephants playing soccer is that they don’t fake injuries!

The baby elephants weren’t trained to play soccer, they just enjoy kicking the ball around. It still makes for a fun and entertaining video. Now if the elephants would do fake falls and fake injuries then the video would be a classic!

As the world looks on for the start of the 2014 Fifa World Cup, and following a visit from African football star Yaya Toure, football fever has gripped our keepers, and with that the orphaned elephants at the Nairobi Nursery.
