Google Reviving Interest in NES with Google Maps for NES
(April 1, 2012) Remember the NES and SuperNES? You may have thought those systems were dead and buried, but that’s no longer the case if Google has anything to say about it. Google announced today that it has released a version of Google Maps for the NES, complete with a Internet connection built into the cartridge. The specially created NES version of Google Maps features 8-bit images and sports all the same features as the regular Google Maps, including Street Views. Today they are offering a preview of the NES game at googlemaps.com. Once there, click the Quest icon on the right hand side of the screen.
