Water Suspends in Air – Real or Fake?

OK, I’ll admit right off the bat that I haven’t decided yet if the following trick can really work. And I don’t want to spend an hour doing it if it doesn’t as that will be an hour of my life I’ll never get back. What do you think? Is it possible to make water suspend in air like this video shows? Do you think it is real or fake? Have you tried it? I showed this suspended water trick to a few people and they thought it was real. Do you?

An amusing trick you can perform with water! Show this video to your friends! I highly encourage you to try this trick yourself!

The title is "Faster Does It."

It has come to my attention that many comments on this video claim the trick to be fraudulent and possibly homosexual. I have come the conclusion that the authors of such comments are nothing but a bunch of trolls trying to steal my internets and will be promptly ignored.

He spun the cup left when it was shown suspended. The water was spinning LEFT (counter clockwise) when suspended(just to clear that up for the blind people) haha and then yes in his “screw ups” he is spinning to the right making the whole thing look pretty sketchy to most viewers. Its a well done trick and fooled many haha I dont think I need to point out that its FAKE like every other ass that feels the need to type “FAKE” when theres already been 60 other asses typing the same thing alongside the word “troll” or some weird… Read more »

I’m not sure if this is real, but people have tried it and said that it worked. Also, his finger touching it has nothing to do with it falling. Its momentum died and thus it couldn’t keep itself spinning. And lastly, what does the guy gain by having people try and having them fail? it’s not like he goes to every guy’s house who is trying this and watches them fail. So don’t be trolling, hatin and being stupid people who accuse things for no reason.

Of course it’s fake. The whole point of the video is to troll you into trying the “trick” again and again, so you have to keep cleaning up spilled water. If this was real, people would already know about this by now.

plus the water falls before his finger touches it, fake.

Fake. This would only work if the surface tension of water was much, much greater than it is. If it were high tension, it would look like a giant bead of water, not the shape of a cup. But it’s not, so only a tiny bead of water could ever exist, like a drop of water on wax paper or on the leaf of a plant. Second, if water surface tension was that great to produce this suspended effect, we wouldn’t be able to enter a tub of water. We probably wouldn’t even get wet… Lastly, this was called a… Read more »

It looks real to me… I know that water has some pretty amazing qualities such as elasticity… Like when you can put a paper clip softly on water it will hold it up… I don’t know if that has anything to do with this but its freakin’ cool either way…
